Where we are

The restaurant-Trattoria Sor’eva is located in Rome, in Piazza della Rovere 108.

Piazza della Rovere is located in the heart of the city of Rome, on the right bank of the Tiber River, a few steps from the famous Trastevere district and monuments known throughout the world as the Castel Sant’Angelo and St. Peter’s Basilica.

This particular square interrupts Lungara Road and is just across the bridge Principe Amedeo Savoia Aosta, where he was once the asylum of Santa Maria della Pietà. The square on the one hand rests on the slopes of the Janiculum while on the other there are the walls of the hospital Santo Spirito in Sassia.

The square, on the one hand leans on the slopes of the Gianicolo while on the other hand we find the hospital Santo Spirito in Sassia. More over a stronghold erected by Pius IV in 1564 is visible, which is a completion of the Leonine Wall started by Paul III.

In the middle of these last two buildings is located Via Porta Santo Spirito which was created by Antonio San Gallo Il Giovine in 1543 but which remained unfinished for continuous contrasts with Michelangelo for what concerned the design of the Vatican’s forifications.

The scenic effect of this pathway is unique to the concavity of the map, the classic style and the four giant columns that define the center archway.
